About Mensa Pakistan

Connecting Exceptional Minds Across Pakistan

A diverse intellectual community built around intelligence, curiosity, meaningful connections, and the exchange of ideas.

Mensa has three fundamental purposes:

To identify and foster human intelligence for the benefit of humanity.
To encourage research into the nature, characteristics, and uses of intelligence.
To promote stimulating intellectual and social opportunities for its members.

Mensa Pakistan was founded in 1994, with Faisal Qureshi serving as its inaugural Chairman.
The organization began with a pioneer committee of 10 founding members and developed a growing membership community across Pakistan.
After its initial years of activity, Mensa Pakistan temporarily closed its operations in 1998.
The organization was revived in 2001 under the leadership of Taimur Qadri, who regrouped former members and helped bring Mensa Pakistan back to life.
In January 2002, Hasan Zuberi was elected Chairman. Since June 2002, Mensa Pakistan has continued to grow, developing an active membership base and local chapters in

Mensa Is Defined by Intelligence, Not by Profession or Status.
Mensa members come from remarkably diverse backgrounds. They represent different ages, professions, educational levels, interests, and walks of life. Members may include educators, scientists, programmers, artists, professionals, entrepreneurs, skilled workers, and many others. There is no single profession, educational background, or lifestyle that defines a Mensan. The common characteristic across the community is high intellectual ability.
