Mensa is an international, non political high IQ society founded in England in 1946. It was created to bring together people with exceptional intellectual ability, regardless of their race, religion, nationality, age, education, profession, or social background.
The name Mensa means “table” in Latin, representing the idea of a round table society where diverse individuals can meet as equals.
Membership is based on one primary criterion: achieving a qualifying result within the top 2% of the population on an accepted intelligence test.
